Registration & setup

Contrixt is ready in minutes: register your company, confirm your email address and let the setup tour walk you through the first steps.

Register your company

  1. Open app.contrixt.com/register.
  2. Enter your company, your subdomain, your name, email and a password (at least 10 characters). A business email address is required — free providers (e.g. Gmail, Outlook, GMX) are not accepted.
  3. The subdomain (e.g. your-company.contrixt.com; lowercase letters, digits and hyphens) is checked live for availability — this is where your team signs in later.
  4. After submitting you receive a confirmation email. Sign-in is only possible after clicking the link (valid for 24 hours).

Trial

Every registration starts with 14 days of full functionality — no credit card. After it expires access is paused; your data remains intact. Details under Subscription & billing.

The setup tour (first sign-in)

On your first sign-in a wizard introduces the modules. You can reopen the tour any time via the Help menu (View the setup tour again). Three steps deserve special attention:

Roadmap: your setup status at a glance

The tour now opens with the roadmap — a live checklist that shows, based on your actual data, how far setup has progressed: Cost centers → Budgets → Contracts & suppliers → Team → Approvals. Completed items are checked off, and open items link directly to the right page.

Until every item is complete, the same roadmap also appears as a "Getting started" card on the dashboard — so you and your team keep track of setup progress in everyday use, without reopening the tour. Once everything is done, the card disappears automatically. If you prefer not to see it earlier, dismiss it permanently via Hide — the roadmap remains available through the setup tour in the help menu.

Choose your encryption (administrators only)

Towards the end of the tour you decide which key encrypts your tenant's sensitive data:

  • Platform key (default): Contrixt manages the key — the easiest start.
  • Your own key (BYOK): you paste your own key and keep control over choice and rotation.

The choice can be changed any time under Administration → Settings. Details under Encryption (BYOK).

Load sample data

On the last page of the tour administrators can load sample data: cost centers, budgets, bookings, contracts, suppliers, applications with a cost structure, licenses, cloud costs, VMs and a budget request — all clearly marked (BSP-…, “Beispiel: …”).

This lets you explore every feature with realistic data. Later, under Administration → Settings, you remove the sample data without residue — your real data is untouched.

Help right from the app

Next to the page title you will find a question mark on every page: one click opens the exact chapter of this documentation that matches the current feature, in a new tab and in your selected language. The same link is also available in the help menu at the top right.
