Savings
The Savings Ledger brings savings recommendations from three existing Contrixt modules together in one place — a task list with a euro value that you work through, instead of hunting for them across separate dashboards. Each recommendation goes through a clear lifecycle from open to done or dismissed, and the ledger shows exactly how much you've actually saved as a result over the current year.
Where the recommendations come from
| Source | Recommendation type | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Licenses | Unused, Inactive, Disabled account | Optimization potential per license SKU (purchased but not, or no longer, actively assigned) |
| Contracts | Contract renewal | Cancellation radar: contracts whose last safe cancellation date is coming up soon |
| Invoice inbox | Invoice deviation | Booked invoices that are significantly above the contractual target amount |
Each recommendation shows the affected object (license, contract or invoice), a short metric (e.g. number of affected licenses, days remaining until the cancellation deadline, deviation in percent) and the monthly savings potential. A link takes you straight to the detail page to review and act on the recommendation.
Refresh lets you reconcile the ledger with the current source data manually at any time — new findings appear, and recommendations that are resolved or no longer apply automatically disappear from the open list.
Lifecycle: open to done or dismissed
Every recommendation starts out open and can be closed with one of two actions:
- Done — you followed the recommendation (e.g. cancelled the license, terminated the contract). Optionally enter the actually realized monthly amount if it differs from the originally calculated potential; if you leave it blank, Contrixt uses the calculated value.
- Dismissed — the recommendation doesn't apply or is deliberately not acted on (e.g. the license is being kept in reserve for an upcoming project).
Both decisions land in the expandable history below the open list, with type, object, status, realized value (or "dismissed") and decision date. Reopen lets you undo any decision — the recommendation then reappears in the open list.
History stays stable
Done and dismissed recommendations remain in the history even if the underlying finding reappears (e.g. a license that becomes unused again) — Contrixt deliberately avoids creating a duplicate entry as long as the previous decision hasn't been reopened.
Realized savings over the year
Three metrics summarize the ledger:
- Open potential/month — the sum of all open recommendations.
- Realized/month — the sum of all done recommendations (actual or calculated value).
- Realized this year — the savings actually accrued since each recommendation was completed, in the current calendar year, projected pro rata from the completion date (or from the start of the year, if completed earlier).
This shows what the recommendations have actually delivered over the year — not just what would theoretically be possible.
Data quality score
The Data quality card assesses how complete the master data is that recommendations, the cancellation radar and reports are built on — a score from 0 to 100 with six checks:
- License prices — license SKUs without a maintained price/month.
- Contract terms — active contracts without an end date (the cancellation radar can't assess them).
- Detected SaaS apps — applications found via Microsoft 365 detection but not yet assigned.
- Budget coverage — cost centers without a budget in the current fiscal year.
- Invoice inbox — unprocessed invoices in the inbox.
- Account numbers — budget categories without an assigned account number.
Each check with open items shows the affected count (where relevant, relative to the total) plus a link straight to the right place to close the gap. Once every check is satisfied, the card reports complete master data — a high score means more reliable recommendations and analytics throughout the app.
