Sign-in & account
Signing in
You sign in at your-company.contrixt.com (or app.contrixt.com) with your email address and password. If your company has set up single sign-on, an SSO button appears as well — one click and authentication runs through your identity provider (e.g. Microsoft Entra ID or Google). Setup details under SSO & SCIM.
Activating your account (after an invitation)
New team members are invited by an administrator — without an initial password:
- You receive an email “You have been invited to …”.
- The link leads to the activation page where you set your personal password yourself (at least 10 characters).
- Afterwards you sign in directly with your new password.
Link expired?
The activation link is valid for 7 days and can be used once. If it has expired or been used, any administrator can resend the invitation under Administration → Users — the old link is invalidated.
Changing your password
Under Profile & password (menu, top right) you can change your password at any time. Required: your current password and a new one with at least 10 characters.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
In addition to your password, you can optionally secure your account with a second factor — set it up any time under Profile & password:
- Authenticator app: Scan the displayed QR code with an authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator) and confirm the generated code.
- Passkey: As an alternative or in addition, set up a passkey — sign in with fingerprint, facial recognition or a security key, with no code to enter.
- Recovery codes: During setup you receive one-time recovery codes in case you lose your device. Keep them somewhere safe — they are shown only once.
If you lose access to your app, passkey and recovery codes alike, an administrator can reset your account's 2FA under Administration → Users.
With SSO active
If your company has single sign-on enabled, your identity provider handles sign-in — a separate 2FA in Contrixt is then not needed.
Roles at a glance
What you see and may do in Contrixt is determined by your role:

Notifications
The bell icon in the header collects budget warnings, contract deadlines and request decisions. Mark all as read clears the list. If email delivery is configured, you receive the same alerts by mail.
Language & appearance
Language: The app starts in your browser's language (German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch or Polish). Use the DE · EN · FR · ES · IT · NL · PL switcher in the header to choose manually at any time — the choice is stored on this device and takes precedence over the browser language. The website and this documentation also follow your browser language.
Dark mode: The icon next to the language switcher cycles through three modes:

The setting is per device and persists across visits. The website at contrixt.com and the documentation have their own toggles following the same principle.
Installing Contrixt as an app
Contrixt can be added to your home screen or start menu like a native app — with its own window and no browser address bar. No app store installation is required:

Without a connection
If there is no internet connection, the app shows an offline page with a Try again button. Contrixt deliberately does not store budget, contract or invoice data on the device — you always see the current state from the system, never an outdated copy.
